Implications of ENTSO-E scenarios TYNDP 2022 on future electricity market behavior, reserve demand, and prices

This report leverages ENTSO-E scenarios from TYNDP 2022 to evaluate future electricity market behavior, reserve demand, and prices. These inputs will be used to simulate potential revenues for XFLEX HYDRO technologiesin Deliverable 11.5, which also examines the sustainability of the current market design for frequency reserves in Continental Europe.. The findings highlight challenges in current market designs and bidding strategies, particularly with the rise of renewable energy, which will be further explored in Task 11.3. The report relies on ENTSO-E data and supplementary assumptions, without questioning their methodology.
